Gibberfish distributes our project as 100% free open source software (FOSS). This means that anyone is free to download, run, and modify our code for their own use. On the flip side, we also accept code to improve our product from volunteers in the FOSS community.

Gibberfish, Inc is an all-volunteer nonprofit corporation registered in the State of Vermont. We are a group of individuals who wish to support activists, organizers and human rights defenders worldwide through the power of accessible encryption.

It is critical to make our services accessible to organizations that may not have the necessary financial resources or technical expertise. To support them, we have built a private cloud infrastructure which provides managed instances of our software platform at zero cost.

Simon Spartalian

President

Simon is a printmaker and a practiced volunteer. Most recently he completed a 4 year tenure as Chair of a public library. There, he helped develop the library as a shelter of the public commons.

Raymond Lalumiere

Vice President

Raymond has a lifetime interest in freedom, justice, equality, equity, peace, art, spirituality, communities, compassion and love. He volunteers time, money and body to a diverse array of causes that align with these goals.

Brian O'Donnell

Executive Director

Brian is a linux systems engineer and software developer who has worked in tech since the early aughts for small nonprofits, billion-dollar private companies, and academic institutions. He knows all the best words.
